Anyone can contact Samaritans and all information stays completely between you and them, no matter how old you are. Samaritans’ primary responsibility is to you, not your parents or guardian.

You can talk to Samaritans for as long as you need to, and you don’t have to give your name or any personal details if you don’t want to. When you phone they can’t see your telephone number, and when you email, your email address is removed before it reaches a volunteer.  Samaritans is free to call on 116 123 in the UK and Ireland and their phone number will not appear on an itemised telephone bill.
