There can be no happier moment than seeing a young person’s face when they realise they can be successful at school. For many of the young people we work with learning has not been a successful area. When they begin working with us they soon see that they do have the skills to learn and they can enjoy learning. There have been many occasions where a young person has for the first time sat through an exam, the feelings that they portray of sheer pride that they have done something they did not feel was possible is a joy to see.
For me leading the new Petersfield Campus as part of the Tregonwell Academy is going to be an absolute privilege.
Working with young people who have such complex needs and such complex lives is not easy, however, there is not a day goes by that I don’t feel extremely lucky to do what I do.
There are so many successes that the hard work is absolutely always worth it!
We look forward to working together with young people, their families and other professionals.
We will work tirelessly to ensure all our students leave us happy, self confident and able to engage with the world around them positively and successfully.
